General Information

Becketts is a Listed Grade II historic barn set amidst glorious Kentish countryside. The barn is over three hundred years old and with all modern facilities, but with extensive period features of beams and vaulted ceilings.

Parking, bicycles and walking

We have a large parking area and bicycles can be securely stored overnight. For walkers we have a drying area for muddy boots and wet coats.

Children's Facilities

Cot and high chair available, with prior request. Board games and cards available for older children.

Business Facilities

Fax machine, copier and free wifi available. If all rooms are booked by the same company then 1 hour breakfast meetings can take place in the dining room.

Additional information

  • There is no smoking policy in all parts of the house.
  • We are happy to refrigerate or chill any wine, foodstuffs, medication etc. Also freeze blocks for your icebox.
  • Mobile phone reception can be difficult with some suppliers (O2 appears to be ok).
  • Check out is at 10.30am

Access information

Arrival

The car park is within 15metres of the house via a gravel driveway of very slight gradient, to the front door.

Main entrance

There is one step into the hallway. All the ground floor rooms are floored with slate tiles and large rugs.

Breakfast room

From the hallway there is a level walk to the breakfast room. This room is only available to guests for breakfast as it forms part of our family home.

The four poster room

Located on the ground floor directly off the hallway with en suite facilities of an easy access shower, WC and wash basin.

Garden twin room

Located on the ground floor directly off the hallway. Access can also be obtained directly from the garden. The door is wider than the front door and will take a wheelchair. This room has its own small private garden with seating and table. There are two low doorways in this room approximately 5’6” due to the beams. There are en suite facilities of a easy access shower, WC and wash basin.

Vaulted twin room

This room is upstairs - 12 steps and has a vaulted ceiling. There are en suite facilities of a shower, WC and wash basin.

Garden

There is one step into the garden. Guests have access to the garden at all times.
